Amanda Blackwell Wasson and her husband John lived next door to my McKee great grandparents in Missouri in 1870 but Amanda wasn't mentioned in the 1914 obit for her sister & my great grandmother Elvira Blackwell McKee. I found the oldest son of the Wasson family in the 1900 census in Longwood Twp., Pettis County, Missouri. He had a wife and five children. One was named James Bryant, b. April 1893. I keyed in James Bryant Wasson in Google and up came an entry in a cemetery by one of their descendants - with an e-mail address! I sent Joe Wasson a note and had a reply this morning. His aunt is doing their family history! He is going to tell her about me and hopefully we can each have a lot of neat stuff to exchange. I found Mary (enum. as) MASSON, age 36 living with Lillian J. (age 16), Robert Lee (age ?), Elbert B. (age 9) living in Prairie, Bates Co., MO in 1880. the father of Lillian, Robt and Elbert was b. Ireland. in 1900 Lilly Wasson is still living in Prairie, Bates Co., MO. (they are living next door to Elvira McKee.) 1920 census for Eldorado Springs Ward 1, Cedar Co., MO has a Lilly Wasson. 1930 census lists a Lilly Wasson living in Blue Mound, Vernon Co., MO. They were next door neighbors of Andrew and Elvira McKee and their family in the1870 Census, Vernon Co, Bacon TWP, Nevada PO, Missouri I did find a MASSON group in 1880 which might be some of this family.
