The Clark County Genealogical Society was founded 17 Oct1972, when Chairman Margaretta ZIMMERMAN and Treasurer Bernice HUGHES met to discuss the name, purpose, meeting place and dues for the new Society.

The Clark County Genealogical Society is incorporated as a non-profit corporation under the provisions of and as defined by the 

Revised Code of Washington RCW 24.03 *

as affirmed by the State of Washington, Department of State filing of the 

Articles of Incorporation of Clark County Genealogical Society, 

a domestic corporation of Vancouver, Washington, as of 26 March 1980 (File Number D298083)
and is subject to 

CCGS Current Bylaws

as approved by the Societies membership

The Internal Revenue Service 
(IRS ltr EP/EO:DO-1:JG L-178, Code 428 SEA:EO:78-836 dtd Mar 11 1978) 
has certified CCGS to be exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
