Focused and Unfocused
Meeting Groups
Check out our monthly meeting information for any
cancelations of the focused groups with the link below.
Native American Focus Group
This group will meet the third Saturday of each month from 10:30 -- 12:00 noon, beginning February 18, 2012. Carolyn Ellertson will lead the group. She spoke at the CCGS 2011 Fall Seminar on the subject of Native Americans in the Civil War. Carolyn is enthusiastic about the group being able share their knowledge on the subject with each other.
Writing Focus Group.
This group is held the first Tuesday of each month from 1:30 - 3:30 at the CCGS Library, This will be an opportunity to share your family history and autobiographical writing and to practice your writing and editing skills. Lethene Parks is the leader of the group.
COMPUTER CLINIC
Due to popular demand, we will hold our Computer Clinic on the first Monday of each month beginning at 1:00 pm. This is the same day as the Legacy Users Group meeting (held from 10:00 to 12:00). Open to all CCGS members. (If there is no Legacy meeting that month, there will be no Computer Clinic scheduled either. September will be one of those months because of Labor Day on the first Monday.)
WHAT WILL WE DO? We will attempt to answer your questions and solve your computer-related problems. We speak Windows, Mac and Linux. Bring your questions and, if possible and appropriate, your computers, power strips and any installation disks we might need.
NO GUARANTEES. We can’t promise to help. We can’t even promise not to make things worse. But if you are up against it, why not give us a try?
WE DON’T KNOW IT ALL. If you don’t have any computer problems, then come anyway. Chances are that you can help out someone else.

Scandinavian Focus Group
Geographic area includes: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands.
This group resumes meeting October 5, 2011.

British Isles Focus Group
Geographic area includes: England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man.
Regular meetings: 2nd Saturday each month, 10:30am-noon, at the CCGS library.

Unfocused Genealogy First Thursday Discussion Group
This group meets the first Thursday of each month in the CCGS Library from 1:30 to 3:30.
No special topic, just bring your research notes, questions, etc. to share with the group.
