Any family historian knows the value of an obituary. They can be very different from one another. Over time, their general lay out has also changed. As I am requested to look up obituaries, I will include them here for other Franklin County researchers. Some of these may actually be a story about someone's death rather then a true obituary.
Recently I have updated these web-pages. Now obituaries are grouped by the first letter of the surname instead of by year of publication. This makes it easier to see similar surnames on each page. If you don't see the obituary you are looking for, use the combined keys of Control+F to search through the page. These obituaries are not in alphabetical order.
If you are looking for a particular obituary, please contact me at denmother4@hotmail.com. I don't guarantee a result, but I will try to find the obituary that you request.
