Scandinavian Special Interest Group

We will meet from on Tuesday, October 14 at 10:00 AM to Noon at the Archive Building on the Bellevue College Campus. Our speaker will be Ron Hookland and he will present how he uses Google Earth in his genealogy. Migration patterns of ancestors can be illustrated with the use of "pins." Using "stree view," it is possible to go up and down streets of an ancestor's town to see the local church and see waht the area looks like now. It is possible to see how country borders have changed, viewing the countries at different years. Google Earth is a powerful tool...and it it free. Atendees are invited to bring their laptops or IPads to follow along, if they would like.

Please check our new website at Please contact Sandy for meeting information.
