Kittitas County (created November 24, 1883 from Yakima County) is located in the center of Washington State on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range.
Ellensburg is the county seat and largest populated center in the county. It is also the home of Central Washington University.
Other populated centers in Kititas County include Cle Elum, Roslyn, Ronald, Thorp, Kittitas and Vantage.

The TV Series "Who Do You Think You Are" returns with eight new shows with celebrity guests exploring their roots beginning on Sunday, March 5th.
The show will be on Charter/Spectrum channels 26 and/or 765 (high definition) at 10 p.m.

Computers with Internet access and online subscriptions to Ancestry and other genealogy sources are available to library users.
In addition to online access to information, the society Library has extensive card files of Kittitas County obituaries, marriages, and other items.
