Seattle Genealogical Society's dBug SIG, will present an Introduction to Genealogy Class, by Lou Daly from 1-4pm on Saturday, April 19th.
Who were your ancestors?
Where did they live?
How did they get there?
What well known events did they take part in?
Are the family stories really true?
Do you have any famous ancestors?
Join us for an introductory class in finding, recording, and sharing your family history using the Internet and traditional resources. We'll go from the known into the adventurous unknown and, hopefully by the end of the afternoon you will have information that you never knew existed.
Instructor Lou Daly has 40+ years experience in genealogy, is a graduate of the University of Washington Genealogy and Family History Certificate Program, leads the dBug/SGS Genealogy SIG, and is a member of numerous local and national genealogical societies.
For more information and online registration: http://www.dbug.org/ or phone (206) 339-4503. The $25 class fee is a donation to dBug, the Mac Users Group. The class is not specific to Mac or PC, and it is not necessary to belong to either dBug or SGS to attend.
