PROJECT OVERVIEW Family historians who live in south Snohomish County are fortunate to have three research centers located within a 10-mile diameter circle - the Sno-Isle Genealogical Society's Research Library at Humble House in Lynnwood, the Everett Famly History Center in south Everett (across I-5 from Everett Mall) and the Shoreline Family History Center in Mountlake Terrace. For several years this SIGS website has hosted the searchable holdings catalog for not only the SIGS collection but the permanent collections of both area Family History Centers. What with the price of gasoline and personal time constraints, genealogists have to plan even local research trips to optimize those outings. These CONSOLIDATED HOLDINGS pages are an attempt to bring together in one web document ALL the resources dealing with a given topic or locality held by all three Research Center partners, creating a "one-stop-shopping list". Be sure to visit the complete holdings catalogs for each Research Center; you might find just the Research Treasures you need to overcome those annoying Brick Walls.

USING THESE HOLDINGS CATALOGS

Like the online holdings catalogs of each facility, the consolidated holdings data files are searchable by TOPIC and by COUNTY.

•  TOPIC or COUNTY are in Column 1;
  
•  TITLE or CONTENT in Column 2 (title may be abbreviated);
  
•  RESOURCE NUMBER in Column 3 (microfilms and microfiche use the FHL Catalog numbers);
  
•  FIND IT (where you can locate the resource in the facility) in Column 4
  
•  SITE (the facility that holds the resource) in Column 5.

In the above examples, the Directory of Pennsylvania Libraries (1990) can be found at the SIGS library at Humble House, in the Dining Room East book case; the call number is PA-132.  Volume 42 of Pennsylvania German Pioneers is on microfiche #6051507 at the FHC in Mountlake Terrace.  Cemetery records for Pottstown East Cemetery in Montgomery County are Item #8 on microfilm 1206460 at the Everett Family History Center.
