Geri was born at home on an Indiana farm on February 15, 1913. She passed away in her favorite place, Edmonds, WA. on February 23, 2008. The years in between were full and eventful.

She qualified as a Registered Nurse, endured the years of WWII with her husband overseas, raised six children, was widowed early, and later earned a University Degree at age sixty. Geri was a resident of Edmonds for 50 years.

She was a member of the Stevens Hospital Foundation, American Association of University Women, Friends of the Edmonds Library, Edmonds Library Board, Sno-Isle Genealogical Society, Edmonds Music and Art Club, Edmonds Art Festival, Campfire, District 15 PTA and the Edmonds United Methodist Church. She enthusiastically volunteered at the Physician Finders Info Line, R.S.V.P. and the Senior Foot Care Clinic.

She is survived by her children, Barbara ROSTAD (Tom), Tom BUCHMEIER (Barbara), John BUCHMEIER (Darla), Mike BUCHMEIER (Nancy), and Phil BUCHMEIER (Rosemary); 11 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. BUCHMEIER, MD; and her son, William BUCHMEIER.
