JACOBSON, Corp. Charles. Everett. Born August 25, 1895, at Boston. Son
of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel JACOBSON, 3021 Rucker. Entered Camp Lewis
September 6, 1918, in the 13th Co., 166th D. B. Discharged December 11,
1918. Corporal. Graduated from the Brandon, Manitoba high school in
1915.
JOHNSON, Chief Boatswain’s Mate Ira E. Everett. Born May 24, 1893, in
Union County, Oregon. Son of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. JOHNSON, Lowell.
Enlisted in the Navy June 4, 1918. Chief Boatswain’s Mate. Served on
the receiving ship Philadelphia, and on the U. S. S. Olympic.

JOHNSON, Alle. Everett. Born in Iceland. Inducted into the service July
22, 1918, at the age of 31 years, 2 months, and became a member of the
Machine Gun Co. 75th Inf. Discharged at Camp Lewis January 30, 1919.

HAVERCROFT, Sergt. Norval L. Everett. Born July 7, 1897, at
Placerville, California. Son of Mrs. Ella HAVERCROFT, 1305 East Grand.
He enlisted in the Q. M. C. at Fort Lawton July 8, 1918, and was
transferred from there to Madison Barracks, New York. Sergeant.
HERRON, James M. Snohomish. Born at Cumberland, Ohio, October 26, 1886.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood HERRON, 120 Cedar St., Snohomish. Private
HERRON entered Camp Lewis from Snohomish October 3, 1917. On August 18,
1918 he was assigned to Co. G, 361st Inf., 91st Division, and served in
that company until April 20, 1919, when he was transferred to the
Hdqrs. Co., 361st Inf. He was with the 91st Division as a member of the
A. E. F. from July 6, 1918, until April 2, 1919. He was with the
division at St. Mihiel in reserve from September 11th to 13th; in the
Meuse-Argonne from September 26th to October 12th; and in the
Lys-Scheldt from October 31st to November 11th.
Private HERRON won the following citation in the Lys-Scheldt operation,
the order being signed by General Pétain:

Headquarters of the French Armies of the East, Bureau of Personnel
Decorations. Following the approval of the General Commander in Chief
of the American Expeditionary Forces in France, the Commander in Chief
of the French Armies of the East, the Order of the Regiment cites
Soldier James M. HERRON, C. H. R., of the 361st Regiment of American
Infantry for ensuring under violent bombardment the maintenance of
telephone lines during the advance from the Lys to the Escaut (a river,
also known as the Scheldt) from the 30th October to November 1918. From
General Headquarters, Marshal, Commander in Chief of the French Armies
of the East, [signed] Pétain. Certified true copy from the
Lieutenant Colonel, Chief of the Bureau of Personnel.
Private HERRON
was discharged at Camp Lewis April 27, 1919.
REEDICH, Otto J. Everett. Born August 16, 1895, at Merrill, Wisconsin.
Son of Mrs. M. REEDICH, Merrill, Wisconsin. Mechanic REEDICH enlisted
in 12th Co., February 5, 1917. While at Fort Casey he was transferred
to the 7th Co., Wash. C. A., in September, 1917; and in November was
transferred back to 12th Co. On December 20th he became a member of
Batt. D, 63d Artillery, and was discharged at Camp Lewis March 21,
1919. He was made a mechanic September 23, 1918. John J. REEDICH, a
brother of Mechanic REEDICH, served in the U. S. Navy, enlisting from
Wisconsin.

BICKFORD, Major Willis C. Everett. Born June 11, 1886, at Redfield,
South Dakota. Son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. BICKFORD, 4218 10th Ave., N.
E., Seattle. Major BICKFORD entered Federal service July 25, 1917, as
commanding officer of old 12th Company. At that time he was county
engineer of Snohomish county, but was granted a leave of absence for
the remainder of his term. On November 10, 1917, he was assigned to the
8th Co., Wash. C. A.; and on December 27th was assigned to Batt. F.,
63d Art., C. A. C. On January 5, 1918, he was sent to the School of
Field Artillery at Fort Sill, and returned to his battery March 18th.
He went to France in command of his battery, and on July 13th was
transferred to the Staff of the First Replacement Division. On February
2, 1919, he was placed in charge of quarry and road work in central
France, and was relieved from that assignment July 20, 1919, returning
to the United States August 17, 1919. Discharged September 6, 1919. He
received his promotion from captain to major May 9, 1919. Major
BICKFORD attended high school at Redfield, South Dakota, and graduated
from the University of South Dakota.

HOLM, Sergt. Chester M. Everett. Born January 23, 1898, at Rutland,
North Dakota. Son of Mr. and Mrs. N. HOLM, of Danvers, Minnesota.
Sergeant HOLM enlisted in the air service at Fort Lawton January 6,
1918. On February 20th he became a member of the 11th Det., A. S. S.
C., at Kelly Field, after serving at Fort Lawton in the Recruit Depot.
On April 9, 1918, he was transferred to Langley Field, Virginia,
serving there until January 24, 1919. He was discharged out of the 10th
Co., 163d D. B., at Camp Dodge, January 30, 1919. 1,082,432. Made
sergeant July 1, 1918. Sergeant HOLM attended high school in
Minneapolis, and was a student at the University of Minnesota for two
years
