What are Queries?
Queries, in genealogical publications, have traditionally been similar to classified ads. They are short paragraphs, with specific details about a person or family, usually complete with a specific question or "query" about that person or family. These days, queries are published in magazines, newsletters, journals, newspapers, e-mail mailing lists and on web sites. The queries found here on the TPCGS web site are submitted by members and non-members who have research in this area of the world. The queries submitted are published in the society's quarterly and on this web site. If you are looking for research help besides this type of query, see the following pages for further options:

TACOMA COURT RECORDS FOR 1898
I am trying to locate Tacoma Court records, for a case that happened around Au-gust 3, 1898, with a Justice Mattison (maybe Thomas Mattison) with a C.A. Stewart as the defendant and the City of Tacoma as the prosecutor.
I checked and the City of Tacoma does not have any records for this period. The State Archives does not have any records for this period from the City of Tacoma. The Libraries NW room has some city council minutes that I intend to look at. But, does anyone anywhere know of any City of Tacoma Court records during this period that maybe laying around somewhere? I would greatly appreciate it.

SHOEMAKER
I'm trying to locate a Geraldine Shoemaker, wife of Francis. I believe that they lived in the Tacoma area dur-ing the Korean Conflict. He was in the army. They had a child, believed to be named Francis. The family of Francis is trying to locate them. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

DONNELLY
I am a retired Eau Claire, Wisconsin Police Officer doing volunteer research for the Eau Claire Police Department. We are attempting to track down one of our Chiefs (Thomas Donnelly) who after resigning from our department in 1891, moved his family to Tacoma, WA. His son, John Charles Donnelly purchased the Donnelly Hotel in Tacoma. Thomas Donnelly died in Tacoma July of 1914. His body was transported to Chicago where he was buried.
Our wish is to be able to track down living relatives in order to find a picture of Thomas Donnelly for our records. So any information about his family their descendants would help us. Thank you in advance.
