Jon Hembre Bratsberg was born at Meraker, Norway about 1835. He married

Anne Sornes Brende about 1860. Jon was a blacksmith, and ran a grist

mill also. His parents were land owners, bondemann. Anne's parents were

land owners also.

Anne Bratsberg was born December 5, 1870 in Meraker, Norway. She came

with her parents to America about 1879. Two more children were born to

this family. Randie married Johan Floen and later moved to Canada. Ole

married Mette Romo. They moved to Washington State.
