Brekke, Klomset
Kari Andresdotter Brekke was born 1841 in Versto, Telemark, Norway to the parents of Anders Knutson Brekke & Kari Bjorndotter Klomset. There were two other children Guro & Ole I believe. I know through family that Kari came to the states when she was very young and settled in Buckeye ,Iowa where she met & married Alexander Knutson. Her brother Abraham & herself were part of the North Dakota land rush where they homestead two 40 acre parcels together and she met & married my mother's father Ferdinand Peter Erdman. Please forward any information on the family to my E-Mail or Lance Stewart - 68-436 Moonlight Dr. - Cathedral City, Ca. 92234 - THANKS LANCE. Lance Stewart 6/28/97

Trampe
Trampe Family - I know the Danske/Pommerske grev Adam Fredrik Trampe, in 1810 at 31 years of age became "stiftamtmann" (whatever that means ?) in Trondhjem, Norway until his death in 1832. I believe he is buried at Lade Kirkegard in Trondheim, with several other family members. I would like to know more about him and his family, because they tie in to my grandfather, which also does the name Bauck. There was a "Borgermester" Bauck in Trondheim which was my great-grandfather.
On my grandmother's side - the names Pallesen and Figenbaum. I do have nothing on Pallesen, but have been able to find something on Figenbaum.Christopher Figenbaum, born febr.5 1836 (or 1834) in Tonsberg, Norway, married to Betsy Ingertha Christensen Figenbaum, born Nov. 23, 1840 in Tonsberg, Norway. They came to America. This should then be my great-great grandfather. Christopher had several children - the only daughter who stayed in Norway was Marie Figenbaum (my great-grandmother) who married Gustav Pallesen, my great-grandfather.
This is unclear: there was a Peder Figenbaum born in 1904 but this might be the father of Christopher. But there was a Baron Figenbaum from Baden Baden who arrived to Norway to head up a silver??mine just discovered (where) Tonsberg? later went to Fredrickstad where he married a Norwegian girl. A Fredrick started a steam-factory ??? in Kristiania, the first in Norway ? While Christopher went to Tonsberg and started a "paint-factory"/ I wish to try to fin an order in all this. Personally I do not have any proof - only from now deceased relatives. Please anybody !!!!!!!!!! I would be so grateful. Contact: Wenke Ormberget 6/26/97

Olson
My 3x great-grandmother, Mary Ann Olson/Olsen, came to the United States from Kranger, Norway through New York in 1861 and settled in Spring Valley, MN, marrying John A. T. Scovel. Ihave not been able to locate Kranger in Norway (is it a conty, town, farm, etc?), so this and any other relevant information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! June 26, 1997 Brennen McKenzie
