Kari Andersdatter Lund, age 16, emigrated from Horg to Ishpemming, Michigan May 23, 1878 on the ship Dampskibet Tasso. She appears to have been traveling with Ingeborg Nilsdt. Hollum, age 17, also from Horg with the same destination.
Kari is found in the 1865 census in Støren parish, farm Lundeaasen (which is now in Horg parish) with her parents: Anders Sivertsen Lundaasen, b. 1813 and Berit Johnsdatter Einum, b . 1819. Her siblings who were living with them at that time are: John Andersen, b. 1850, Arnt Andersen, b. 1852, Erik Andersen, b. 1856.

in Eau Claire, Wis. Martin was born was born in Vaaler, Solor, Norway
on November 17, 1860.
