Mrs. Lewis Hanson passed away at her home Sunday evening at 11 o'clock after a long period of illness.
Ragnhild Lee, daughter of Erick and Bertha Lee, was born in Tydalen, Norway April 20, 1870. She came to this country with her parents, a sister and a brother May 17th, 1884 directly to Downsville where she lived most of her life and on the farm where she died.
She lived in Menomonie while attending public school for a short period of time.
She was married to Lewis Hanson Oct 29, 1890. They lived a short time in Downsville, after that they moved on the farm which has been their home since. This this union 7 children were born: Louise, Herman, (Bertha) Mrs. Fred Krueger, Servelle of Baldwin , (Helen) Mrs. Clarence Fuller of Menomonie, (Bessie) Mrs. Paul Walhood of Wilson, and Jay. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Jay.
Funeral will be Wednesday afternoon 2 o'clock from the Calvary church with interment in the Grandview Cemetery. Rev. Norris Olson conducting the service.
