Mrs. Ragnhild Lillebjorgen, age 82, died Saturday morning, March 27 (1937) at the home of her cousin, Esten Rogness, Railroad Avenue, North Menomonie, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon 1:30 o'clock at the Olson Funeral Home and 2 o'clock at the North Menomonie Lutheran church, Rev. S. A. Johnson officiating.  At the services, Melvin Anshus, accompanied by Miss Selma Mettome, sang, "Jeg ved mig en savn i Jesu Navn" in the Norwegian language and "Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling." Burial was made in Halverson cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death 25 years ago.

Ragnhild Rogness was born August 28, 1854 in Storen, Norway. She came to America in the year 1881, coming to the home of her brother Stephen Repseth, North Menomonie. The same year she was united in marriage to Erick Lillebjørgen, the Rev. Lars Lund performing the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs.. Lillebjorgen purchased a farm on the Hudson Road commonly known as the Halvor Metlyng farm, which they operated for about seven years. They sold their farm and moved to North Menomonie where they lived a retired life. About sixteen years ago she went to the home of her cousin, Esten Rogness, where she had made her home until her death.

Mrs. Rogness [sic] was an active member of the North Menomonie Ladies Aid Society and was a member of the North Menomonie Norwegian Lutheran church for over half a century. She is survived by two sisters, Gunhild, Mrs. Mike Score, North Menomonie, and Marit, Mrs.Tarall Indseth, Soknedalen, Norway. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Those who attended her funeral from a distance were: Mrs. John Moe, Hudson; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rostad, Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Score, Mr. and Mrs. Ever Dahl, Elk Mound, Mrs. Clarence Reiten, Mrs. Carrie Rogstad, Rice Lake, Mrs. Anna Haugen, Minneapolis, and Gust and Sadie Krefstad, Prairie Farm.
