Query Guidelines

I invite you to enter a query for your Norway ancestors. These queries should now be posted to the Rootsweb Message Boards. Please be sure to chooses the correct "county" in Norway to place your posting. This will get you the best results.

1. Include an appropriate subject line which includes the name of the individual, farm or place you are writing about.
2. Be sure to post all the surnames used by the individuals you are seeking information about.
3. Enter your query information exactly as you want it to appear. Please use proper capitalization when you type.

Farm/Parish Guidelines

I invite you to post your Farm/Parish names. Since all Farm/Parish names must be manually posted, I ask that you PLEASE adhere to the following guidelines.

1. Please include "Farm/Parish Name" in your subject line.

2. List your information in this order:
   
   farm and/or parish, county, surname, researcher name, and e-mail address.

   • Separate each of these items by a comma or dash.

   • Please post farm names according to alphabet (A-B, C-D, E-F, G-H, I-J-K, L-M, N-O-P, Q-R, S, T-U, V-W, X-Y-Z).
     
     EXAMPLE:
     
     Subject: Farm/Parish T-U

3. Please limit your requests to 2 at a time.
