New Miner, St. Paul's
St. Paul's of New Miner was begun when a few German Lutheran familes moved into the Town of Armedia.
They at first met in a schoolhouse. Later the Norwegian Lutheran church members offered their building
to the German familes with the provision that they would be able to use it for special services such as
weddings and funerals.
Eventually, none of the old members of the Norwegian church remained so, upon the
advice of an attorney, St. Paul's congregation took over the property by right of possession.
The constitution of St. Paul's was adopted in December of 1930.
