11 December 2000 - More surnames were added to our Surnames page, along with more vital records (Births and Deaths) fro the Mitts and White families, donated by Kathy Winters. Along with those Vital Records, the D surnames were added for the Pre-1907 Death Index and Pre-1907 Marriage Index today. And a great compilation of church histories was donated by Vic Gulickson to our "Churches" page, too! Please note too, that the restructuring of the directory now affects the Pre-1907 Birth and Death Indexes also, so if you have any of these pages bookmarked, you will have to make adjustments. Be sure to stop by and check out all the new materials. And if you have some that you would like to add, please let me know!
6 December 2000 - A new marriage record was added to the Marriages page (part of the Vital Records directory) today. This Myers/Fossum record was donated by Jacqueline and a big THANK YOU goes out to her. It's bound to help someone out!
4 December 2000 - This week's additions include the Pre-1907 Marriage Index for surnames beginning with the letter C. Also, while working on this file, I restructured the directory, so if you have any of these marriage index pages bookmarked, you may have to redo them. Also added today were three surnames to the Surname page, including Campbell, Lavalier and Paradis. Be sure to visit these new items to find out more. And as always, the search engine is being updated to reflect these new additions and changes.
27 November 2000 - I missed a week or so, but there certainly is no lack of activity on the Barron Co. WIGenWeb site. More information was added to our Community page today, including two town histories, Cameron and Turtle Lake, from Vic Gulickson. Thanks, Vic, for your hard work in getting these histories to us. You will also see more of the communities highlighted as some histories of the various early postoffices were added. And to go along with this page is a new page called Barron Co. Mapping, which shows how townships, ranges and sections work together in land descriptions. We also added another new category to the Vital Records page. This time an interactive Barron Co. Deaths page is covered, with some great contributions once again by Kathy Winters. She also added more records to the Barron Co. Births which are marked with our famous rainbow "new" icon. Keep up the good work, Kathy, your Roper information is bound to help other researchers out! There's always something new to look at within the Barron Co. WIGenWeb pages, so keep checking back often.
13 November 2000 - We started a new category today - an interactive page for you to submit your Barron Co. Births to. Today's additions were the surnames beginning with the letter "C" which adds 195 more names to our database. And on our "Family Histories" page, 12 new families were added. Check it all out and see if any of these new items help with your research!
