The Research Room Hours
Monday 1-4 pm
 Thursday 4:30 pm -7:30 pm
The Research Room of BHGS is staffed by volunteers.  Their safety is important to us, therefore if weather conditions are not conducive for
winter driving, the hours of operation will be changed  as needed.

The Blue Hills Genealogical Society - Barron County, Inc. holds their monthly meetings at 410 East LaSalle
Street in Barron, with the entrance being at the corner of 4th and LaSalle (
unless otherwise indicated). 
Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month, except December and January
during our winter recess.  See our

Our Goals

The goals of the society include:

encourage the preservation of genealogically relevant materials regarding Barron Co. WI,
educate persons in appropriate genealogical research methods,
aid persons in conducting the research of their Barron Co. WI roots,
encourage membership in the society,
support existing resources in Barron Co. that contribute to this purpose.

The Blue Hills Genealogical Society - Barron County, Inc. is a non- profit organization,
has achieved Affiliate status with the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society (WSGS) and
is a member in good standing of the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS).

Memberships
 and Membership Privileges

The Blue Hills Genealogical Society - Barron Co., Inc. offers two types of memberships:
Membership Dues within the USA $15.00 (single) or $22.50 (dual). 
 
Membership Dues outside the USA $18.00 (single) or $27.00 (dual) *(see note below)

Dues are payable in US funds only!
 

Dues paying members (single memberships) are entitled to the following privileges:

Voting privileges at regularly scheduled society meetings
Copy of Blue Hills Genealogical Society Bylaws
Quarterly Society Newsletter "The Echoes"
Unlimited free lookups in our Surname File
Unlimited free lookups in our obituary collection
Unlimited free lookups in our cemetery abstracts
Unlimited free lookups in the Christeson Civil War Files
Unlimited free lookups in the 1922 History of Barron County
One free query in "The Echoes" newsletter
Free Subscription to the Society's private E-Mail List
*Dual memberships are entitled to all of the above privileges except they will receive one copy of the society bylaws and one copy of THE ECHOES newsletter (snail mail version).

We encourage all members to make a contribution of their time and/or talents through their participation in the authorized activities of the society.  An active society is a successful society.
