ANNOUNCEMENTS

The following announcements are provided to you as a public service. Watch this page for upcoming genealogical events,
not only for Barron County, but for the whole state of Wisconsin and nationally, too!

Blue Hills Genealogical Society - Barron County, Inc. holds their monthly meetings at:

Barron County Office Complex
Second Floor Conference Room
410 East LaSalle Street
Barron WI 54812

The entrance to the building is at the corner of 4th and East LaSalle.
Note: The Research Room and the Second Floor Conference Room are both located in the Barron County Office Complex.
Meetings start at 6:00 pm with social time, 6:30 pm open meeting for new member registrations, announcements and business, 7:00 pm feature speaker or program. Meetings are free and open to the adult public, except as noted in April and October. There are no provisions for children.

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Cemetery Project.   This cemetery is located on the church property at 2411 W 23rd Street, Rice Lake, WI (aka Dobie, WI). Also referred to as the Dobie Cemetery. In the event of a "rainout" we will meet at the second Floor Conference Room in Barron, WI.

The "Research Room" is open regular hours, 1 pm- 4 pm

October 14, 2013-BHGS "Members only 6th Annual Banquet." Appreciation and Awards Night.
November 11, 2013-A Cut Above: Going Beyond "Just" Dates, by Mary Wirth, BHGS member
December 2013-CLOSED
January 2014-CLOSED

Presentations and topics are tentative, except for April and October and subject to change at any time.

MEETING CANCELLATION POLICY: All calendar items are subject to cancellation, rescheduling, or changes in subject matter and speaker. If BHGS must cancel any meeting or event (due to inclement weather or any other causes) announcements will be made on the local Barron County radio stations; WJMC, WAQE, FOX and WATQ/Moose Country. The notices will be posted on this website, Facebook and the society's mail list (Rooters). These actions will be taken before 5:00 pm the day of the meeting. Be sure to check with any of these sources if you are in question about a possible cancellation.
