BLUE HILLS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY – BARRON COUNTY, INC.

CLOSED FOR WINTER RECESS
BEGINNING NOVEMBER 10. IT WILL RE-OPEN ON
FEBRUARY 8, 2010.
The Blue Hills Genealogical Society – Barron County, Inc. Research Room is open to the public. The BHGS-BC Resource Room is located in the Old Jail - Huber Room 308 of the Barron County Courthouse, 330 E. LaSalle, Barron. The BHGS-BC Research Room will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Monday that the courthouse is open with a member of the Society available to assist patrons. There will be signs to help you find our new room. "We have collected many records of genealogical value to Barron County residents," BHGS president Denise Ervasti reported. "From Church histories to military records, we have a variety of records for patrons to research," continued Ervasti. "Our collection continues to grow; we encourage anyone who has Barron County records of genealogical records to donate them to the Society," said Ervasti. The BHGS would like old Barron County telephone books, Church membership records and histories, fraternal society membership records, cemetery information and records, plat books, school records, family histories, and any records that name people and put them in a certain place at a certain time.
The Blue Hills Genealogical Society-Barron County is an Affiliate of the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society and member of the Federation of Genealogical Societies. Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to join the Society which meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Barron Courthouse.
