BLUE HILLS GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY – BARRON COUNTY, INC.

The Blue Hills Genealogical Society – Barron County, Inc. Research Room is open to the public.  The BHGS-BC Resource Room
 is located at 410 E. LaSalle St, Barron, WI.  It is located on the first floor of the Barron County Office Complex, 4th and East LaSalle Streets, Barron, WI.

The BHGS-BC Research Room Hours (excluding holidays) are:
 Mondays 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Thursdays 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
 Enter using the rear doorbell, the doorbell rings only to the research room.  Park in the back lot


A member of the Society is available to assist patrons.  Internet access is available.  The resource room is a research facility, there are no provisions for children.

"We have collected many records of genealogical value to Barron County residents," BHGS president Denise Ervasti reported. "From Church
histories to military records, we have a variety of records for patrons to research," continued Ervasti. "Our collection
continues to grow; we encourage anyone who has Barron County records of genealogical records to donate
them to the Society," said Ervasti. The BHGS would like old Barron County telephone books, Church
membership records and histories, fraternal society membership records, cemetery information
and records, plat books, school records, family histories, and any records that name people
and put them in a certain place at a certain time.

The Blue Hills Genealogical Society-Barron County is an Affiliate of the Wisconsin State Genealogical Society and
member of the Federation of Genealogical Societies. Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to
join the Society which meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room, of the
Barron County Office Complex, 410 East LaSalle Street, Barron, WI.  For more information contact Denise Ervasti at 715-458-4165.
