These records were checked on April 13, 1999, by Jeff Kiekenbush; and, after
that visit some changes were made to these records since they were first
published. A list of those changes may be found below.
(1) In the previous publication LOBENOW was reported, but at last check the
name on the marker appeared to be LUBENOW.
(2) Previously the records showed these inscriptions were on the east face
of the obelisk, but they are the south face.
(3) Previously the records showed these inscriptions were on the west face
of the obelisk, but they are the north face.
(4) This record was added on April 13, 1999.
(5) This record was added on April 13, 1999.
(6) Previously this record was shown here as BORCH, but marker appears to
read BORCK.
(7) The German inscription was added to these records on April 13, 1999.
(8) Previously the date of death was shown as the 10 April and has been changed
to 10 August.
(9) Previously the name was shown as Carolina Ann and has been changed to
Carolina A. W. The first name does not appear to be Caroline.
(10) This record was added on April 13, 1999.
Note: Several stones are no longer standing. Some pieces can
be found along the west fence line.
