Another Pioneer Gone

Mrs. Julia Snyder died at her home in this city on Friday morning, of general debility, after several weeks illness, aged 81 years.

Deceased was born in Morristown, N.Y. in 1826, coming to Stoughton in 1856, 51 years ago, and has been a resident of this place since that time. Her husband, Washington Snyder, died in 1879. Mrs. Snyder was an esteemed member of the Methodist church, and a good christian woman. She leaves four sons, John, Augustus, Philo, and Seth and one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Coats of Findlay, this state, all of whom were present at the sad obsequies. One sister and four brothers also survive her, Mrs. Jane Hill, Fred and Daniel Buckman of this place, Geo. Buckman of Ogdensburg, N. Y. and Guy Buckman of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. E. J. Symons, were held from the M. E. church on Sunday, which were largely attended by sympathizing friends.
