Mrs. Jerry (Marie) Wipperfurth

 

MADISON--Mrs. Jerry (Marie) Wipperfurth, age 84, formerly of 501 W. Main St., died on Saturday, July 16, 1977 at a local nursing home after a long illness. The former Marie T. Reis was born on October 5, 1892 in Waunakee, WI, and was a life-long Madison resident. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She also was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She married Jerry Wipperfurth on October 15, 1914. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Tucker, 501 W. Main St.; a son, Walter J., 503 W. Main St.; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at HOLY REDEEMER CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Father Austin J. Henry officiating. Burial will be in resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at THE RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue, from 4-9 p.m. on Monday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
