NORTHAM was born August 18, 1848, in New York State, in De Kalb,
St. Lawrence County; moved to Menasha, Wis., remaining until thirteen
years of age, and then to Oshkosh a short time; then to Green Bay,
steamboating, about eight years; was then in wholesale business five
years; was then in Milwaukee, in the employ of E. H. Smith & Co., one
and a half years; was then in Marinette one and a half years, and then
to Florence, Wis. He was married to Miss Mary Elizabeth Stid, of Green
Bay, Wis., November 5, 1874. Mr. N. is now running a hotel in
Florence, and is also engaged in the wholesale whisky business in
Chicago, Ill. |
