I am seeking information on Amanda Gertrude SCHNEIDER and her husband Peter Paul HANSEN, who ran a truck farm on East Second Street in Fond du Lac until 1923, and later operated a grocery store. Amanda was born in Madison on 4 October 1869, daughter of Ernst SCHNEIDER and Marie LIES. Peter HANSEN was born in 1874. They were married in Madison on 29 November 1900, and had three known children: Roy P., born c. 1902 [in Milwaukee in 1954]; Mildred, born c. 1908 [in Fond du Lac in 1954 - married Harold EICKOFF]; and Leslie L., born c. 1912 [in Tucson, AZ in 1954]. Peter HANSEN died 12 October 1944. Amanda died 10 March 1954. I would also appreciate any information on Amanda's sister, Antoinette SCHNEIDER [2 October 1877-17 August 1927] who was living with Amanda in Fond du Lac at the time of her death.

I am looking for information on the following names from Fond du Lac county: Schrage, Weber, Wolf, Bourgious. My GGGF Peter Cornelius Schrage settled in Mt.Calvary (Marshfield) around 1863. His wifes name was Mary. Some of their children were: August, Herman, Frederick, Peter, Richard, Mary,Juliana, Rosalia. Weber,Wolf,and Bourgious are names that became connected by marriage. Any info you can provide would be most helpful. Thankyou.


SHEA  Eden Early 1800's. My reference is to John Smith, born 1824 in Ireland, married to Mary McInrowe born in Ireland in abt. 1849. Married in abt 1857 ? Eden They had James 1858, Edward 1860, RoseAnn 1862, Henry 1864, Michael, 1868 all in Eden.

Johann and Irma, their three daughters, and a son made their way to Polk, Washington County, WI, and farmed the land. They married into the Rupp family (Gertrude Sauer to Louis Rupp in Washington County on January 07, 1853), the Held family, and the Earling family (changed from Oerhling)." Jeff Rupp

SCHNEIDER I am looking for information Stephen SCHNEIDER on b. abt 1811 d. 1880 Fun du Lac CO and his Maria (I think this is her given name) b abt 1814 d. 1879 Fun du Lac CO. They came to the U.S arround from Prussia 1848 and setteled in Fond du Lac County. They had a daughter Gertrude SCHNEIDER b Jul 1849 when they setteled in Fond du Lac CO. SCHRAGE  I have traced my GGGF to Mt.Calvary, WI after emmigrating to the US between 1851 and 1855. His name is Peter Cornelius Schrage. Some information I have, list him as Peter Ziriakus Schrage. His wife's name was Julia. One source I have lists Peter as a shoemaker while another states he was involved in the mercantile business. His children are: August, Henry, Frederick Wm., Charles, Rosalia Juliana, Juliana Henrietta, Henry Ferdinand, Peter, Richard, Herman Constantine (my GGF), and Mary. I would like to hear from anybody who has any information about Peter and any of his decendants. I will gladly provide any information I have especially about my branch of the Schrage family tree. I am researching LYONS and NARY and SENNOTT/SINNOTT. Peter Lyons was born in Ireland. Filed petition to nationalize in Fond du Lac 1868. Died around 1872. Married Catherine Nary at Dublin, Lucah, Ireland. She lived on Liberty Street, Fond du Lac. Catherine died August 24, 1899. Buried Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. After Peter Lyons died, Catherine married Patrick O'shea on February 25, 1873. No mention of O'Shea name in obituary or on grave stone. Thanks for any leads. Denis

Most of my ancestors are buried at the cemetery in Armstrong on County Trunk B. The surnames I am most interested in are Shea and Leahy. The Shea's immigrated from Ireland during the potato famine and first settled in Springfield Massachusetts. They moved to the Armstrong area about the 1850s. Bob Blessington

Family moved to Winneconne, Winnebago, WI sometime before 1860. 1860 and 1870 US Census shows Frank and family in Winneconne. After marrying Sarah, Frank and Sarah moved to Medford, Taylor, WI sometime around 1880, then to Eagle River, Vilas, WI in 1884-5.
