- Andrew BENNETT was born in Scotland. In 1828, he being then
a young man, he emigrated to
- the United States and first stopped in the State of New York,
where he was married to Lucinda BAXTER, daughter of Zebulon and
Lucinda BAXTER. In 1848, they came to Wisconsin and settled in
Green county. He engaged in farming in the town of Brooklyn until
1864, then removed to Austin, Minn., where they have since died.
They reared five children - A. Z., Christie, Thomas (deceased),
George and Isabelle.
