Newspapers

The Mazomanie area has been covered by many newspapers over the past 150 years. Currently, most of the GMVHS's area is covered by the News/Sickle/Arrow. Three papers started in the area in the 1870s--the Black Earth Advertiser (which later became the News), the Arena Star, and the Mazomanie Sickle. There was a paper in Mazomanie back in 1866 called the Mazomanian, but it lasted only a few months. This page will hopefully include a more extensive list of the area papers and resources related to them. For the time being, though, all that there is only one thing to offer:
