Hattie Weber

Mrs. Hattie Weber, Black Earth, passed away Dec. 27 in Madison hospital at the age of 92 years.

Mrs. Weber was born November 16 1875 in the township of Black Earth. She was the daugher of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Drake, pioneer settlers in this county.

On April 29, 1896, she was united in marriage to Julius Weber who preceded her in death February 5, 1948. She is survived by two adopted sons, William and Burdett, who rside in California, and a niece and four nephews living in this area.

Mrs. Weber spent the early part of her life in this vicinity until she and her husband moved to Sarona. Later they spent a number of years in New York State and then retired at Fond Du Lac, where they lived until her husband's death. She then returned to Black Earth.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Black Earth Methodist with Rev. Richard Peik officiating. Pall bearers were: Carmen Huset, Irving Williams, Kenneth Fossage, Virgil Turk, Ralph Karn and Clayton Harrison.

Those attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jaeger and son, Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Brookens, Fond Du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Herrman and Chester Turk, Eau Claire; Mrs. Donald McKenzie, Oregon; and Rev. and Mrs. LeRoy Drake, Wonewoc.

She was a devoted christian and active member of the Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and many friends.
