Pastor J. E. Nord of the Fountain Church

Johannes Erikson Nord, the son of Erik Olson Nord and Gunhild Heggen, was born on December 14, 1852 in Eid Township, Nordfjord in Sogn og Flordane County, Norway. He was a teacher at Flekkefjord, a city in Vest-Agder County, and other places, 1868-73. Johannes immigrated to the U. S. in 1873 and attended Augsburg Seminary from 1874-80 (graduated as a Candidate in Theology). He was married in 1880 to Caroline Larson.

While pastoring at Liberty Pole, Wisconsin, Johannes also served as the pastor of the Fountain Lutheran Church in Fountain Township, Juneau County from 1880 to 1884. From 1883 to 1916, he was the pastor in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Johannes died on July 22, 1930.
