Ole H Stenson, Pastor of Fountain Church, 1884-88

Ole H Stenson,. the son of Halsten Olsen Ovrevold and Ragnhilde Jensen Lysne, was born on September 3, 1854 at Laerdal Township, Sogn og Fjordane County, Norway. He emigrated to the U. S. in 1874 and attended Augsburg Seminary, 1876-84 (graduated as a Candidate in Theology (C.T.)). Ole was married in 1890 to Carrie Ostby.
From 1884 to 1888, he pastored a church in Blair, Wisconsin. During those
same years, Ole served the Fountain Lutheran Church in Fountain Township,
Juneau. From 1888 to 1928, he was a pastor in Manistee, Michigan. Carrie
died in 1927. Ole died on February 6, 1940.
