The Luck Historical Museum contains information and artifacts from the town’s history. It is also headquarters of the Polk County Genealogical Society that helps interested visitors find information on their family’s past.

Programs are on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Luck Area Historical Museum.

Remember: what happens at the museum is up to what our members and volunteers decide to do! You are always invited to come and help out with your ideas!

June 15th 5-7 PM: Tova Brandt & Mike McCarron – Skål (skol) its traditions and culture old and new. Mike McCarron will be providing a sampling of his Gamle Ode Danish style Aquavit (made at 45th Parallel in New Richmond, WI) – participants must be 21 years of age.

July 20th 6:30 pm. Joe Kimball presents the Congdon Glensheen Mansion in Duluth

August 24th 7 pm Wilma Gray and guests. Beadwork and Native American Influences. Exhibit Opens

September 28th 1 pm Special guest speaker Robert Reyes, son of Tommy Reyes . He will talk about the Duncan Yo-Yo Demonstrator 1932 World Champion. His Dad toured the USA all 48 States in the 1930's Vaudeville era.

October 26th -- Bruce Hanson: First Ladies of the White House

  • Monday: 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Open for genealogical help and other family or local research stafffed by Polk County Genealogical Society)
  • Saturday: 10-1 Memorial Day through Labor Day and other times by appointment
