Leo Litzer
dies today
at care center
Leo Litzer, 78, died this morning at the Antigo Community Care
Center. He had been owner and operator of the Polar Cheese
Factory and Litzer's Bar and Restaurant.
He was born Sept. 13, 1904 in Tacoma, Wash., and on Sept. 22,
1926, he married the former Ruby Carlson at St. John Lutheran Church,
Polar. She preceded him in death Sept. 29, 1972
Mr. Litzer was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Polar, and
its church council.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Marion) Harding of
Pontiac, Ill., Mrs. Dale (Rosalie) Erlandson of LaCrosse, Mrs. Harry
(Evelyn) Walk and Mrs. Dan (Diane) Kretz; both of Antigo; 13
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Bond of
Harlingen, Tx.; and a brother, Edward of Marathon County.
A daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John
Lutheran Church, Polar. Rev. Robert Girod will officiate and
burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday at Soman-Strasser funeral
home and at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
