Battles : Alsace Defensive, ChateauThierry, Juvigny and MueseArgonne Offensives.

Sergeant, 6th Regiment, U. S. Marine Corps. Served July 23, 1917 to May 31, 1919. Born Jan. 4, 1897. Son of  William R. Mitchell, White Lake, Wis. Overseas Feb. 14, 1917 to Feb. 22, 1919.

Battles : ChateauThierry, Bourches Belleau Woods, Lucy, Argonne Forest.

Wounded in Belleau Woods and Argonne Forest.

Was Cited at Argonne once.

Bealleau Woods twice and at Siege of Verdun, April, 1918. Croix De Guerre and one Palm.

Qualified as Sharpshooter and Pistol Expert.
