An e-mail letter was received from Bill Hoskins about this gentleman.
He discovered a man named A. I. Hoskins buried in Los Angeles National Cemetery, Los Angeles County, California. His name is listed as A. I. Hoskins who died 04 November 1915 and he served in Company D of the 4th Wisconsin Cavalry. Out of curiosity he looked in the Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers, War of the rebellion, 1861-1865 and found a man named Alson J. Hoskins of Lincoln County who enlisted on 25 April 1861 as a Private and was mustered out on 13 July 1864 because his term had expired.
Hopefully this may be of interest to someone researching in Lincoln County.
