This census was transcribed by me, Shelley Green. This was proofread by Joe Lubke.

I tried to read the census taker's handwriting the best I could and rules dictate that I must reproduce the names as they were written, not as I might know them to be.

It is my opinion that the enumerator phonetically spelled some of the names - and as most of the inhabitants could not read or write, the spellings stayed.

Susan Wrchote wrote me and said her grandparents names are wrong on the census. The census taker has them as BOWMAN. The correct name is Bauman. This is on page 514B, lines 25, 26, 27 - Frank, Wilhelmina and Frank.
