.The first Suring High School Annual was a 16 page pamphlet put out in 1937. On the back of the front page is a dedication to Mr. Harvey Polzin, who was the Senior Class Advisor. The class motto was "Build for character - Not for fame." The flower was Yellow Rose and the class colors were blue and gold.
They played Wausaukee, Peshtigo and Coleman in the basketball tournament. The total points for the year were: Suring 344 - Opponents 313.
The annual tells of the beginning of the Suring Band in 1929 under the direction of Prof. George Glass. The band received first place in the District tournaments of 1935 and 1936 in both marching and playing. The ''Band Mothers" was organized in 1935.
The 20 seniors that year were: Oliver Baccus, Marcus Bartz, William Bartz, Maxine Burger, William Clark, Emil Gardebrecht, Ruth Hougaard, Lee Johnson, Orland Johnson, Walter Lartz, Elmer Luebeck, Lila Makholm, Richard Makholm, Viola Rupiper, Merlyn Rusch, Elsie Schuettpelz, Beatrice Tate, Robert Von Haden, Lloyd Zaddock and Robert Zuehlke.
There were 14 Juniors, 26 Sophomores, and 36 Freshmen.
The Senior Class play was a three act comedy called "You're the Doctor", given April 30.
The high school sent 12 contestants to represent Suring in the Forensics Contest that year.
The teachers in the entire Suring School that year were: Mr. George Baird Sr.. Sup. and Principal, Mr. Glenn H. McKelvey. Miss Dorothy Shattuck, Miss Lina Btanchard, Mr, Harvey Polzin, Mr. Harold Ankerson, Miss Ellen Mikkeison, Miss Lolly Pytleski, Miss Mildred Olson (Polzin), Mr. George Glass. Music.
