The
lumberjacks never complained
of the cold weather since they were dressed in 100% wool clothes and
soon
worked up a sweat cutting timber.
Men
outside one of the lumber
camps in Mountain. The third man from the left is Martin Rasmussen, a
long-time
resident of Mountain.
A
typical logging camp scene.
The blacksmith in the middle of the picture was the father of Walter
Saffran
whose wife still lives in Mountain.
