 FOUND: Marie Nygaard of Gillett Pamela She was my father's aunt.  Marie is the sister to Gerhardt Nygaard who was in the Gillett Band photo.  The photo studio was the Nygaard Studio owned by her brothers, Peter and Louis (aka Lauritz).

C -This photo took place in a studio where great care was taken to reproduce the Victorian romantic idea of country.

 D -Taken in a home, the delicate light and shadows of this photo was a beautiful example of photography used as art. Hints of depth are offered in the very dimly lit objects on the right..

 FOUND: Gerhardt Nygaard, who was in this Gillett Band photo, is the brother of Marie, and photographers Peter and Louis (aka Lauritz) Nygaard.

FOUND: Catharina Philippi born 1866, daughter of Matthias Philippi and first wife Gertrude Lambertz 
c:1883 She remained in Germany. 
 G -This young woman is an absolute mystery and may have been photographed in Germany around 1880.

 H - Over 100 years ago these two men enjoy a rugged stretch of the Oconto River during a fly fishing trip.

 J -All that was written on the back of this old and faded photo was the word "Pa". He stands tall and straight in front of his tidy Oconto County homestead, half log and half clapboard.

 K -This is believed to be the entire student body of the new Suring High School.Teachers seem to be standing along the back walls to the left and right.

FOUND: Brother of Barbara Weber (Mrs. Joseph Philippi) taken at the family cheese factory in Marytown, WI
 L - The proud owner of a local cheese factory stands next to the tank where milk is stirred and turned to curds and wey, then pressed "dry" of liquid wey and packed into the round metal molds on the left. It will age to become Colby, or Chedder, or Muenster or Swiss, or another wonderful offering.

FOUND: Brother ( right ) of Barbara Weber (Mrs. Joseph Philippi) and employees taken at the family cheese factory in Marytown, WI
P-Meanwhile, the previously seen cheese factory owner (right) has brought in his workers to pose with ladles, strainers, and paddles at ready in the tank. The staff seems to be quite young..
