Charles G. Prausa

SPRUCE - Charles Prausa, 75, Town of Spruce, died Wednesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Keith Olson, of Algoma, following a long illness. Born Dec. 1, 1890, at Carlton, he married the former Marjorie Parker, Sept. 15, 1921, at Marinette. A member of the Blessed Sacrament Episcopal Church in Green Bay, he was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Modern Woodsmen. Mr. Prausa had been employed by the Standard Oil Company, Green Bay, for 30 years before retiring in 1955 and for many years he was a Boy Scout leader in Green Bay having received the Silver Beaver Award. His wife preceded him in death, June 12, 1953.

Survivors include, two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Elizabeth) Olson, Algoma; Mrs. Michael (Karen) Caldwell, Woodstock, Ill.; one son, Robert, Logan, Utah; seven grandchildren; two brothers, James and Joseph, Oconto Falls, Rt. 1; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Emma) Kubichek, State of Washington; Mrs. Fred (Mae) Teteak, Manitowoc.

At Soulek Funeral Home, Suring, after 7 this evening, Funeral 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home, the Rev. Harold M. Keyes and the Rev. A. McDaniel officiating. Burial in Hickory Cemetery.
