Emil Kershek

Emil Kershek, 89, Oconto County M, Oconto Falls, died unexpectedly Dec. 6, 1991, at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls. He was born Sept. 6, 1902, in Coleman (sic - Brazeau) to the late John and Christine Pashek Kershek.

Emil married Evelyn McMahon on Nov. 6, 1926, in Green Bay. After marriage, Emil worked for Wisconsin Public Service Corp. and later farmed on County Highway M until his retirement. He was a member of the Hickory Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Thomas Wiegele of Kelly Lake; a son and daughter-in-law, Attorney Eugene and Virginia Kershek of Brookfield; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joe and Blanche Kershek of Oconto Falls and Jerry Mundt of Lena; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Jim Prausa of Lena (sic-should be Rt 1 Oconto Falls); eight grandchildren, Colleen and Bruce Nohr of Green Bay, Connie and Corey Roland of Wausau, attorney Dennis and Peggy Kershek of Romona, Calif., attorney E. Joseph and Barbara Kershek of Dousman, Michael and Jaymie Kershek of Carlsbad, Calif, John Kershek of Chevy Chase, Md., attorney Mark Kershek of Brookfield, Patricia Kershek of Minneapolis; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Friends may call at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, 4-8 p.m. today, Dec. 8, 1991, and at Hickory Church of Christ Monday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert McKinney officiating. Burial in Hickory Cemetery. A memorial has been established at Hickory Church of Christ. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, in charge of arrangements.
