George V. HERMANS

Mr. George V. Hermans, 87, 600 Superior Avenue, Oconto died Thursday evening, December 10, 1998 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center, Oconto.

George was born July 19, 1911 at Little Suamico, the son of the late Eugene and Mary (Detiege) Hermans. He was united in marriage on July 27, 1936 in Milwaukee to the former Ruby Kimpel. George worked as an Electrician for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for many years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto. George greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby; four daughters Marjorie St. Louis, Green Bay; Carolyn (Larry) Dax, Luxumberg, Pat (Bill) Koehne, Little Suamico, and Joyce (Matt) Karban, Oconto; a sister Adele Patenaude, Little Suamico; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by a son Eugene "Buddy' Hermans, by two brothers Clarence Detiege and Alfred Hermans, and by a sister Norine Patenaude.

The body rested at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Joseph Site, Oconto where the family greeted relatives and friends from 10 AM until 1:45 PM Saturday, December 12, 1998. Mass of Resurrection was at 2 PM Saturday at the Church Site. The Rev. David Ruby officiated. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
