Jerry Vorpahl (1957 - 2012)

Jerry L. Vorpahl, 54, Oconto Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at his home.

Jerry Lane Vorpahl was born Nov. 21, 1957, in Oconto Falls, to Leslie and Agnes (Brazeau) Vorpahl. He was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School, as well as the Broadcast Institute and Art Institute of Baltimore. Early in life, Jerry worked as D.J. He then was a drummer in a Elvis Tribute Band traveling throughout the country. Jerry married Michelle Boyer April 25, 1981. The couple settled in Milwaukee, where he worked as a Graphic Artist.

Surviving are sons, Jerry Paul and Daniel Vorpahl, Milwaukee; siblings, Theresa Runge, De Pere; Phyllis (William) Uelmen, Cecil; Butch (Shirley) Vorpahl, Oconto Falls; Daryl Vorpahl, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Debbi Lolley, Oconto Falls.

Preceding Jerry in death were his parents and a brother, Larry.

A service will be held in Grace Lutheran Church, Oconto Falls, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed and a photo tribute viewed at
