Norma Marie (Lorang) Kramer, 85, Lena, went to her Lord on a snowy day
Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. She was born on a snowy day March 1, 1926, in
Oconto, to the late William and Agatha (Graef) Lorang. On May 27, 1947,
Norma married Anthony "Tubby" Kramer. He preceded her in death on Nov.
22,
1994. She was an active member of her community including the Lena
Historical Society, she was instrumental in starting the Lena Museum,
was a
school board member at St. Charles, belonged to the Lena Homemakers,
Lena
Altar Society, Legion Auxiliary, and was a 4H instructor. She cooked at
the
Lena Schools for 26 years. Norma loved quilting, gardening, and talking
to
visitors under the maple tree.
Survivors include five children, William (Connie) Kramer, Lena; Marsha
Kramer (Don Groh), Lena; Mark Kramer, Lena; John (Sue) Kramer, Green
Bay;
Paul Kramer (JoDean Hipke), Lena; three granddaughters, Haylie (Nick)
Sorenson, Tulsa, Okla.; Catie and Rosi Kramer, Lena; a step-grandson,
Dean
Groh, St. James, Mo.; a special nephew, Kevin Severa, Green Bay; a
special
niece, Susan (Jerry) Maynard, Marquette, Mich.; one brother, Richard
(Carolyn) Lorang, Sun Prairie; 10 sisters-in-law, Donna Lorang, Oconto;
Martha Bintz, West Bend; Theresa Severa, Green Bay; Margaret Wesling,
Milwaukee; Madeline Kobes, Green Bay; Charity (Chuck) Kroeger,
Saukville;
Delores Brown, Chicago; Audrey Piper, Oconto Falls; Irene Demmith,
Lena; and
Delores Hansen, Milwaukee; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She
was
preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Darrell Lorang.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, from 4 to 8
p.m.
Friday. Parish Wake Service 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the
funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday until the funeral cortege leaves for
church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at
St.
Anne Catholic Church, Lena. Inurnment will be at St. Charles Cemetery,
Lena.
