LaVerne J. (Belongia) (Peters)
Salmon, 79, Green Bay, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, following a lengthy
illness. She was born October 25, 1933, in Oconto, to Elmer and Kathryn
On April 25, 1971,
LaVerne married Richard S. "Sam" Salmon. He preceded her in death on
September 15, 2008. LaVerne worked for H.C. Prange Company for 18
years, and later for Bay City Cab until her retirement. She was a
member of the International PBX Club. LaVerne loved playing bingo,
cards, and going to the casino.
She is survived by her
children and their spouses, Richard and Carolyn Peters, Steven and
Susan Peters, Lynn Ann Barnard, John Peters, Jean and Richard Prevost;
her stepdaughter, Karen Crowell; 15 grandchildren and their spouses,
Chad Peters, Cory (Angela) Peters, Charles (Nikki) Peters, Kathryn
Peters, Tami (Matt) Julius, Allison Dencklau, Jeremy (Erica) Dencklau,
Steve (Jamie) Peters, Jr., Adam (Erin) Peters, John Barnard, Brian
Barnard, Peter Barnard, Rick (Stephanie) Prevost, Jr., Nicholas (Stacy)
Prevost; stepgrandson, Matthew Crowell; 28 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen (Bob)
Wellens; two nieces, Kelly Vanden Bogart and Theresa (Wellens) Dresang.
LaVerne was preceded in
death by her husband, Sam; a son, Theodore Peters, Jr.; her sister,
Carol Vanden Bogart; and her brother, Russell Belongia.

Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral
home. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send
