LaRayne "Raye" J. (Mrs. Ted) Jurgilanis, 75, 5792 Cty. I, Oconto Falls, died Sunday evening, August 26, 2001, at Sharpe Care. She was born June 6, 1926, in the Town of Lessor in Shawano County.

She grew up in Krakow and graduated from Pulaski High School with the Class of 1943. On June 12, 1948, she married Thaddius "Ted" Jurgilanis in Waukegan, IL. The couple lived and worked in the Oconto Falls area for most of their married life. Raye was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also an avid bridge player and years ago, enjoyed bowling and golfing. She loved traveling with her husband in their motor home all over the United States and was a life long Chicago Cub's fan.

Survivors are her husband, Ted Jurgilanis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas Jurgilanis and Ann Schultz, West Bend; Kevin and Denise Jurgilanis, Cedar Grove, WI; two daughters, Candace Jurgilanis and Tami Havens, both of Oconto Falls; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Allen Ward, Las Vegas, NV; Lee Ward, Krakow; two sisters, Ethel Bierhals, Pulaski; Sylvia Hogue, Gillett.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends called at Grace Lutheran Church on South Main St., in Oconto Falls after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Memorial services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Bill Sutlief officiating. Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls, served the Jurgilanis family.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
