Marilyn Estelle Seis, of Antigo, died Tuesday, February 26 at Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 77 years old. She was born on March 21, 1935 in Lena a daughter of the late Herman and Alice (Hansen) Brye. She married William Seis on June 4, 1960 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Klondike. He survives.

She was a 1953 graduate of Lena High School, attended Marionette Teachers College for two years and received her bachelors degree in 1962 from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.

For over 40 years she served as both a grade school teacher and principal at Mountain Grade School.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Antigo and the local retired teachers association.

She enjoyed volunteering at church, sewing, crocheting and quilting.

In addition to her husband survivors include two sons, Daniel (Mary) Seis, Suamico and David Seis, Chetek; a brother, James (Darlene) Brye, Coleman; and two step-grandchildren, Alicia Evensen and Dustin Wilson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home (1550 Neva Rd. Hwy 45) Antigo and 9 - 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church
