 Visit Guest Book Joseph "Melvin" McMahon, age 85, Lena, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012. Melvin was born in Gillett, on July 23, 1926 to the late Albert and Marie McMahon. Melvin served his Country in the US ARMY, serving in the Korean War. Melvin married Elaine Houska May 24, 1952, in Menominee, MI. The couple farmed in the towns of Maple Valley and Spruce for many years. Melvin was an equipment operator for Gene's Excavating. Melvin is survived by his loving wife, Elaine of Lena; 2 sons, Daniel (Shirley) McMahon of Suring, Don (Roxanne) McMahon of Luxemburg; his daughter, Sherry (Fiance Charles Bohm), Francis of Cecil; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Melvin was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold McMahon. Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home on Thursday, March 15, 2012, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Candace Ascher officiating.
