ESCANABA—Marjorie A. (Flath) Kittner, 88, formerly of 1219 9th Ave. S., Escanaba, passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2006 at Evergreen Health Care Center in Bakersfield, Calif.

She was born July 26, 1918, in Escanaba, and was the daughter of Julius and Emma (Schaal) Flath.

The former Marjorie Flath married James Roderick “Rod” Kittner in 1938, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1975.

Marge worked at the Dells Supper Club, which was the family business until her retirement in 1983.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, active behind the scenes worker for the Escanaba Ice Variety Shows, and a member of the 314 Club.

She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Marjorie A. Kittner is survived by: daughters, Barbara Ann (David) Jennings, of Wales, Wis., Patricia Jean (William) Wood, of Bakersville, Calif.; grandchildren, Debra Lynn (Todd) Jennings Bennett, John (Leah) Kittner Jennings; great-grandchildren, Zackery J.G. Bennett, Casey Lynn Jennings; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, brothers, Gordon and Lloyd Flath preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services for Marjorie A. Kittner will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott White officiating.

Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery.
